Transformer is an efficient asset, which is used mainly to step up-step down voltage levels in a power system and it is necessary to find its performance parameters such as efficiency and voltage regulation. These OC-SC tests are very effective in finding the regulation and efficiency of a transformer at any load (without loading the transformer) under any power factor condition.
